Sleepers Railway Station Restaurant

One of the oldest restaurants in town, built around the original railway station and under large Natal mahogany trees, Sleepers Railway Station Restaurant is a local hotspot. A place to relax and take in the atmosphere or enjoy a good meal from a varied menu.

Hat & Creek

This restaurant offers elegant dining and great meals, complemented by the wine menu. The menu boasts culinary grill and seafood delights, prepared with local ingredients and the freshest seasonal flavours. There is also a fireside boma.

Hoedspruit Grill & Diner

Formerly Ice Creams & Dreams, located in Kamogelo Tourism Centre, this diner does amazing homemade ice-cream and great milkshakes. Their menu is simple but the food generously portioned and deliciously flavoured.

Upperdeck Restaurant

Hear the live performances that create the ambient buzz they are known for. Upperdeck is a restaurant with magnificent views, the menu is proudly South-African.

Blue Mountain Restaurant

A drive towards the mountains leads you to this gem, located next to the Blyde River. Blue Mountain Restaurant has great views of the Drakensberg Mountains and the food is sublime. A varied weekly menu and a Sunday buffet offers wonderfully cooked food to suit everyone's taste.

Three Bridges Restaurant & Pub

The Outpost is nestled right on the Olifants River, where wildlife roams nearby. This rustic restaurant and pub welcomes everyone, from bikers to local and international visitors and their families. Enjoy drinks overlooking the river while kids make their own pizza!

The Fig and Bean

Located at the Rock Fig Lifestyle Centre at the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate entrance, this coffee shop is about home-cooked food made fresh every day, with ingredients sourced from in and around the Lowveld. Sabie Valley Coffee & fresh juices, as well as homemade goodies, are on offer.

The Venue @ Safari Wine Club

We offer refreshing craft beers, sophisticated gin cocktails, speciality wines, home-made wood-fired pizzas, and cheese & meat platters for you to enjoy in the heart of the African bushveld.

The Thirsty Giraffe

Just 5 km out of town, this restaurant has a lovely open-plan setting and deck overlooking the bush. A vibrant atmosphere in the evenings, with superb food, a good selection of beer on tap, and the occasional four-legged visitor!

Freeworld Coffeeworks

Many of Hoedspruit's exclusive lodges source their complimentary coffee from local espresso bar and coffee supplier Michau Van Gass. Pop in for a home blend coffee or cappuccino; drink in or take-away. They are located right outside the exit to the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate.

Maroela Bar

Maroela Bar is a family pub & bistro that offers a wide selection of craft beers, gintails & delicious pub food which is a grade above.


Cooked is a café-style, open-air restaurant situated at the Bosveld Centre. Only the freshest local ingredients are used, and the menu changes weekly.

Cotton Club Cafe

Enjoy great coffee, hearty breakfasts, light lunches or delicious afternoon teas at the Cotton Club Café. Appreciate the birdlife in the gardens, set against the backdrop of the magnificent Blyde River Canyon and mountains.
